PKRT stands for Perbekalan Kesehatan Rumah Tangga, commonly translated as Household Health Supplies. Under the Ministry of Health’s framework, PKRT covers tools, materials or mixtures intended to support the maintenance and care of human health in households and public facilities. Depending on the product and its claims, examples may include certain household cleaning or hygiene products, pest-control products, tissues, and related supplies.

Izin Edar PKRT is a marketing authorization for eligible PKRT products to be distributed in Indonesia. The Ministry of Health’s registration systems describe the review as addressing product safety, benefit or performance, and quality. Requirements differ according to product category, origin (domestic or imported), and the applicable registration route. The Ministry’s current legal framework should be checked carefully: Minister of Health Regulation No. 5 of 2026 on Health Supplies is in force and repealed a number of earlier regulations, including the former Regulation No. 62 of 2017.

A product’s everyday name is not enough to determine whether it is PKRT. Classification depends on its intended use, composition, claims and applicable rules. Some products may fall under a different regulatory regime—for example, cosmetics, medicines, medical devices or other chemical products. Confirm the classification before preparing a dossier.
